Fluffy Pancakes Recipe: The Perfect Breakfast Treat

You'll need 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1 cup of milk, 1 large egg, 2 tablespoons of melted butter, and optionally, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract for added flavor

Preheat Your Griddle or Pan: Heat a griddle or non-stick skillet over medium heat. Lightly grease it with butter or cooking spray.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

Mix Wet Ingredients Separately: In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract (if using) until well blended.

Combine wet and Dry Ingredients: Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Use a spatula or whisk to mix until just combined. It’s okay if there are a few lumps in the batter.

Let the Batter Rest: Let the batter sit for about 5-10 minutes. This allows the baking powder to activate and helps create fluffier pancakes

Cook the Pancakes:Once the griddle or skillet is hot, ladle about 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake onto the cooking surface. Cook until bubbles form on the surface of the pancake and the edges begin to look set, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and Cook the Other Side: Carefully flip each pancake with a spatula and cook until golden brown on the bottom, about 1-2 minutes more.

Serve and Enjoy
